The library manages the written permission request process. We use language provided by the University's legal team to ensure the copyright holder understands the extent of the request and how the material will be used.
Additionally, our process ensures that multiple requests aren't sent to the same copyright holder simultaneously and that all written responses are entered into the Permissions Database.
Note: The library can request permission from most sites (including those that have material with CC BY-NC Creative Commons licenses).
