You’ll work with articles that include various research designs, including randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental studies, cohort and case-control studies, mixed-methods research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. 

Where can I learn about these research methods?
A great place to start is Sage Research Methods, which offers short videos introducing many study designs. For example, you can watch an overview of randomized controlled trials, explore quasi-experimental design, or review explanations of cohort studies and case-control studies (2021). You can also watch a brief introduction to mixed methods research.  

Where can I find information on systematic reviews and meta-analyses? 
Salem Press Encyclopedia offers summaries on systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical trials.

Are there other resources that can help me evaluate evidence? 
Yes. The library also provides guides on quantitative and qualitative research and evidence-based practice, which can help you better understand study design, data interpretation, and levels of evidence.
