How do I create a MyEBSCO account in the library search box or EBSCOhost?

In the new EBSCOhost and library search box, your saved items folder, MyEBSCO, is tied to your academic login and no longer requires a separate username and password.

Please note that you may be required to create an account in the new platform even if you currently have a MyEBSCO account.

To create a MyEBSCO account:

  1. Click on MyEBSCO. On a standard computer browser, this option can be found in the upper left-hand corner of the page. On a mobile device, look for the person icon in the upper section of the screen or the menu.
  2. Select Create an account.
  3. Fill out any required fields and click Create account.

To log into MyEBSCO the next time you access the updated EBSCOhost or library search:

  1. Click on MyEBSCO.
  2. Click Sign in to MyEBSCO.

From there, you will be automatically logged into your MyEBSCO account.

Please note that if you have items saved in your MyEBSCO account in the current EBSCOhost and library search box, you may need to recreate your folders to organize your research. You may also want to double-check that all your saved research, including any search alerts you have set up, is included in the new platform.
