Where do I find the Economist Intelligence Unit and Economist.com?

Unfortunately, the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), EIU Country Data, Economist Database, and EIU Market Indicators and Forecasts are no longer available through the University Library.

The Economist and many of the 2000-2014 EIU country reports are available through ProQuest. To locate The Economist:

  1. Once in ProQuest, click Publications.
  2. Search for The Economist.
  3. Select Magazines from the source type menu.

To locate EIU country reports:

  1. Once in ProQuest, select Browse.
  2. Click the plus sign (+) to expand the options to view Country Reports.
  3. Choose the relevant type of report. For example, Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) Country Data.
  4. Follow any additional links to narrow by region and country or industry.

We also have country, economic, and industry information available in these databases:

  1. Select the Advanced Search link.
  2. In the search box, enter the country name on the search box. From the drop-down menu next to the search box, select SU Subject Terms.
  3. Click on the Search button.
  4. After the results appear, use the Refine Results box on the right side of the page and select Country Reports under Source Types. You may need to select Show More to see all the options.
